The Asociación Colombiana de Agencias de Viajes y Turismo – ANATO, is the organizer of the Vitrina Turística, which has been consolidated as the most important event of tourism in Colombia since 1982.
ANATO is a non-profit organization that represents, defends and promotes the interests of the tourism and the Travel Agencies in Colombia. It was created since October 20th, 1949 and it is conformed by Partner Agencies throughout the country with the representation of 9 chapters, consolidating the sector as the broader national recognition for their development.
One of the main goals is to promote the work of the Travel Agencies in the country. The first version was made in Popayán with the participation of 20 exhibitors and year after year has been established as the most important place for sellers and buyers of tourism products and services in cities like Manizales, Cúcuta, Medellín and San Andrés Island.
Since the early 90s Bogotá became the main Venue that annually would host professional exhibitors and visitors of the Vitrina Turística, that currently takes place in the International Exhibition Center – Corferias as a meeting where all tourism representatives and Travel Agencies in Colombia know, promote and sell their products and tourism services. In addition, the Vitrina Turística promotes the revitalization of inbound tourism and the generation of emissive flows to participant countries.
In 2017 it was held the 36th version of the Vitrina Turística and was attended by 35 countries, all Colombian departments and 16 heritage villages, registering 36,821 income in two days and business environment, highlighting the quality of attendees professionals.
