The ANATO Tourism Showcase is not only the leading professional event at the national and international level for the travel industry, it is also a key element in different areas of the local and global economy.
In the specific case of Colombia, some of the most important impacts are related to approximately 220,000 business contacts, represented in nearly USD $128 million in business that would take place this year at the Tourism Showcase, which would mean a growth of 6% compared to the contacts made during the 2024 edition of the event.
Likewise, it is an important contribution to job creation, as it is estimated that in 2025 more than 5,600 direct jobs will be generated, that is, 7.6% more than those recorded in 2024. “Its realization creates great demand in sectors such as hotels, restaurants, transportation, and other services connected to tourism, due to the large number of national and international visitors who travel to Bogotá to participate,” explained Paula Cortés Calle, Executive President of ANATO.
On the other hand, the ANATO Tourism Showcase is also a stage for the promotion of products and services, as more than 1,500 exhibiting and co-exhibiting companies attend to present their portfolios, which will later result in an increase in visitors to different destinations. In addition, the media reach of this event increases the promotion and visibility of these places, in turn encouraging the movement of travelers.
“This space is of great appeal to investors, who, upon learning about the offer of different entrepreneurs, find in Colombia potential and a business opportunity, thus generating dynamism in the economy,” concluded the guild leader.
